Good news. Finicky Eater hit the editing process. So dear reader, what does this actually mean, aside from Kasha and the gang getting a bit of a make over? Well, the writing is getting tighter, the story stronger. Bad news. Kasha and the gang are more complex than I earlier imagined and what had been a simple story has outpaced my current capacity. So back tot he drawing board. Hopefully, you will have a story worth the wait. Stay tuned.
Chapter Two Silence surrounded her. Lemus had left and Komono, ever in search of food, had tired of the emptiness of her trash cans. By the play of light seeking entrance through the blinds, night remained an hour or two away. Kasha stretched as if her body ached from its cramped vigil. A glass of liquid sat on the table beside her. The contents of once frozen blood had thawed to room temperature and awaited consumption. Good old Lemus. Kasha stood. Kasha the Cat Kasha was a finicky eater, known more for playing with her food than eating it. Everyone recognized a Kasha killing. The splatter of wasted blood left to pool at the scene. This habit of toying with her prey had earned her the nickname Kasha the Cat, though most just called her the Cat. An irony since she preferred dogs. Yet she couldn’t deny that her ways, narcissistic as they had become recently, were of a feline nature. There was something about the hunt, stalking prey, waiting, ambushing that fed her more that the feast itself. She had tired of humanity, tired of life.
